Second Choices
QuickTime Files*
- Uncompressed RGB or YUV422
- ProRes (lossless)
- Motion-JPEG/PhotoJPEG (99% quality)
- H264 (5000+kbs for SD 15000+kbs for HD)
If no other choice
- DVD
- VHS
*Notes on Digital Files:
The choices are endless for digital files. We usually have to treat them on a file by file basis. As long as they are full resolution (NTSC, PAL, 720p 1080p or 1080i) at a high bitrate for that particular codec, Metro Encoding can get good results.
